New York Immigrant Coalition: Navigating the NYC School System: A Guide for Immigrant Families Part 2

With thousands of schools to choose from, New York City’s education system can feel overwhelming, especially for immigrants and families new to the city. Join InsideSchools for a two-part training that covers everything you need to know to help families make informed choices — from finding the right school to getting involved in their child’s education. In Part Two, we’ll review the application process for 3K, Pre-K, Kindergarten, Middle School, High School, and Summer Rising, walk through a demo of the admissions process, and answer your questions.

How Nonprofits, Faith Groups & Businesses Can Protect Immigrants

The New York City Council, including Deputy Speaker Ayala and Council Member Aviles, in collaboration with several nonprofits hosted a virtual training to help other organizations, faith groups, & businesses to better understand NYC Sanctuary City Laws, updated immigration policies, Know Your Rights, and preparedness for immigration enforcement.

NYIC: ICE & Family Preparedness Know Your Rights Training
