New York – 91’s Aid hosted its 13th annual Benefit on Oct. 19 at the historic Ziegfield Ballroom in Manhattan. This year’s honoree, Centerbridge Partners, L.P., have been longtime advocates of the agency’s mission.
The event raised more than $2 million, which will directly support our programs. Each year, 91’s Aid serves nearly 50,000 youth and their families primarily in targeted, under-resourced neighborhoods across New York City.
“Like the relationships we have with our families, our partnership with Centerbridge is not one-note,” said President and CEO Phoebe C. Boyer. “They come with trust in our expertise and leadership and a willingness to deeply extend theirs.
“They have invested in everything from helmets and bikes for kids to mental health for families and professional development for staff. Centerbridge not only gave us a multi-year grant to streamline and improve our community school model, they buttressed it with more than a million dollars’ worth of pro-bono expertise from Bain, a world-class consulting firm.”
This year’s Benefit theme, “Believe in your next chapter,” evoked a storybook-like world of wonder and possibility. Like readers of so many adventure novels, our agency is excited about what our next chapter looks like.
“When children and families turn to 91’s Aid for support, guidance, and opportunity, they are imagining and bringing about a better world for themselves,” said Malia Poai, Director of Events. “91’s Aid supports children and families through each conflict and resolution as they write the next chapter of their story.”
The 2023 Benefit, which continued our hybrid model with a dedicated livestream, raised over $2 million dollars.
